Elizabeth Chacon’s family brings in a little over the median income of Los Angeles County. And most months, they’re just barely scraping by.

Press Play launched a new series, Fault Lines: Exploring the income divide and everything in between, with the story of Elizabeth Chacon. The wife and mother of three told us what it means to make around the median income in Los Angeles County ($56,000) while trying to maintain a middle class lifestyle in the community of Downey. And Downey’s median income lines up almost exactly with LA County’s.
