Finding Darondo

Justin Torres is a record nut, the kind who combs through stacks of dusty LP's looking for obscure gems. Torres told became obsessed with finding an R&B crooner named Daron "Darondo" Pulliam. Darondo wasn't just a forgotten singer. the man had apparently disappeared. And, Emily Dickinson’s poem "Because I Could Not Stop for Death."

Justin Torres is a record nut, the kind who combs through stacks of dusty LP's looking for obscure gems. Torres told became obsessed with finding an R&B crooner named Daron "Darondo" Pulliam. Darondo wasn't just a forgotten singer. the man had apparently disappeared. And, Emily Dickinson’s poem "Because I Could Not Stop for Death." After Dickinson died, her sister found nearly two thousand poems in her bureau, all ready for publication. In a surprising number of those poems, Dickinson was writing from beyond the grave.
