In case you missed it, our live session with Flying Lotus is now up and online. Sadly, the artist declined video so you can’t see how fast his hands fly across the faders, but the audio is mind-boggling on its own. As KCRW DJ Mario Cotto said via Twitter, Flying Lotus “opened up a portal to another dimension” on Morning Becomes Eclectic.

While Flying Lotus launched his career through LA’s club scene – in particular the weekly residency Low End Theory – he told Jason his mission with the new album “Cosmogramma” was not to create “music of the moment” or tracks for clubs, but to “make something that was going to last.” He talks about how his collaboration with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke came about and more. Check it all out here.
