To me, Future Islands play a very important kind of music – sad music that you can dance to.

Like Joy Division and many bands before them, they dig into deep emotional places, examining love and loss on top of music you can bounce along to, particularly the sweet synths of “Before the Bridge”, set against the growls of singer Samuel T. Herring.

They even dropped in a new song, written in August, that has not yet been record called “Tomorrow”.

Enjoy the session in our archives here.
