From KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad:

Bay Area songbird Goapele has an incredibly powerful and alluring voice and we’re excited to hear new material from her soon. She is about to drop her long-awaited new record titled “Milk & Honey,” which will be out on her own independent label. After the moderate success of her first release and subsequent distribution deal with a major for her second, she and her team strengthened the foundation of their label/production company, Skyblaze Recordings, by building a state of the art recording studio in Oakland, Ca. Since then, she’s been touring, collaborating, recording, and gave birth to her first child.

She visits LA to perform a rare, free, all ages show at 7th & Fig’s Ernst and Young Plaza in downtown on Wednesday, June 23. More info HERE

Editor’s Note: Her name means “to move forward” in Setswana, a South African language!
