Grizzly Bear’s highly anticipated new album “Shields” surpassed our expectations — and apparently others as well, as it debuted at #7 on the Billboard charts!

They’ve performed on Morning Becomes Eclectic twice (including the now-famous session in 2008 where they debuted “While You Wait for the Others”) and return this month with a live set before their October 10 show at the Greek Theatre.

The session was recorded in New York City early last month before the started their U.S. tour and is absolutely gorgeous.

As a little pre-show treat, they’re letting us share two of the tracks before the full session airs on MBE Tuesday, October 9. Enjoy these live versions of “Yet Again” and “Sleeping Ute”, recorded especially for KCRW.

Tune in next Tuesday to hear it all and find it in the archives here after it airs.
