What’s that groovy, swingin’, electro banger Jason has been spinning on Morning Becomes Eclectic this week? It’s Australian duo Yolanda Be Cool’s “We No Speak Americano.” Jason said it was a grassroots effort that brought the song to his attention – literally people kept requesting it at shows over the summer and eventually he tracked it down. The infectious energy of the track – which samples the 1956 song “Tu vuò fà l’americano” by Renato Carosone – had already made it a huge hit in Europe and Australia. Check out the video and dance your lunch away.
