There is no greater star in Indian popular music today than Kailash Kher and we’re excited to welcome him to Santa Monica for a performance at the Pier as part of the Twilight Dance Series! KCRW is presenting the show which features his newest incarnation — Kailash Kher’s Kailasa.

After Kailash was introduced to brothers Naresh and Paresh Kamath, fixtures of the Indian rock and jazz scene, the trio formed Kailasa, combining Kailash’s strong traditional folk sensibilities and lyrics that invoke Sufi-mystical dimensions with Naresh and Paresh’s more modern rock, electronic and funk influences.

Check out a highlight from theirMorning Becomes Eclecticperformance on last year.

The show is FREE and starts at 7pm. Bring a blanket and picnic in the sand or go up on the pier to get the full concert experience. Either way, enjoy a free show on the Westside from a Bollywood superstar!
