New Yorkers are in luck this weekend! You will be receiving a special visit from KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole. Tonight he will be at Le Poisson Rouge and tomorrow at Bembe. Check out more details below and here.

RR

FRI 1/8 (10pm-4am): “BoomCha!”

Freaky, heavy ghetto rhythms from around the world. Baile Funk, Digital Cumbias, Afro Bass and other cultural sounds. PLUS, I’ll be going on about 11:15 (45 minute set), before a live performance by the always-fresh CHICO MANN, the electro-Afrobeat brainchild of Marcos (Antibalas).

SAT 1/9 (10pm-4am): BEMBE

Jeremy will be covering Nickodemus’ residency while he’s on tour, doing a 6-hour set. Expect heavy, sweaty Latin, Brasilian and Caribbean sounds all night.

He also has a special show coming up in LA. A collective of musicians he’s put together called Musaics will be making their 3rd live appearance alongside Jacob Fred Odyssey at The Mint on Saturday, February 6.
