KCRW Exclusive: !!! Cabin Fever Mix (for Your Holiday Travels)

!!! shows are always a party.

And the after party? Well, according to lead singer Nic Offer, they have some of the best around because keyboardist/sax player Allan Wilson takes over as DJ.

Now, they want to bring the party straight to you. The band plans on releasing a series of mixes this summer around various festival/tour dates. The first, from Allan, is the Cabin Fever Mix which you can stream below and download directly from the Soundcloud page. Soulful, groovy, and perfect for a weekend drive if you’re headed anywhere for Memorial Day.

“Here’s that mix that Allan did of stuff we’ve been jamming out to. It’s in the popular MP3 format. Allan deejayed some of the funnest after-parties we’ve been to this year (ours) and his skills are really coming up. This is perfect to bump at tailgate parties before our show, or tent-side at the festivals this summer.”

The guys are originally from Sacramento and wanted to pick a Cali station to premiere their first mix and we were happy to oblige. They will be back on the West Coast for two shows in August – the Pacific Festival in OC on August 13 and Outside Lands on August 14.

When I first saw them play, I had no idea who they were but a friend convinced me to go as his +1. I had NEVER seen an LA crowd get down like that. It wasn’t at a rave — it was a rock venue and people were going crazy! I left sweaty from dancing with a huge smile on my face.

We loved their most recent album“Strange Weather, Isn’t It” and “AM/FM” was the most played track on KCRW at one point last year.
