I also have a concert alert tip to share with you:

James Vincent McMorrow is headed to the Ford Amphitheatre on August 11th and has been a KCRW favorite for some time. He stopped by our studios last December to hit us with some heavy falsetto and groove-based tracks. You can check out the complete session here. I suggest you see him live, because this Irishman can andwill put you in the right mood for a Friday night.

On the giveaway front, we have a good one coming up this weekend during Raul’s show on Sunday. He’ll be giving KCRW members a chance to see Portugal. The Man live at the House of Blues in Anaheim.
