We are so excited to present Desert Dazeagain this year. The phase 2 lineup will be released on May 8 and we can’t wait to share it with you! In the meantime, look at all the other awesome bands that are set to play the festival in mid-October. Tame Impala, Warpaint, Ty Segall & White Fence, Preoccupations, Kevin Morby, Death Grip, Mercury Rev and more will all be at Moreno Beach in Lake Perris on Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14.

Have you seen Brazilian Girls live? My first time was at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood over 10 years ago. I didn’t know what to expect and then the music started and singer Sabina Sciubba came out with a giant opaque sheet (or was it a balloon ?) covering her entire body. It’s always a combination of art and music at their shows and it’s ALWAYS a party. They’re live at the El Rey next weekend, so go buy your tickets!

It’s pledge drive time around here, which means no giveaway tip off for the next few days. We’ll have fun stuff for you to win starting back up on May 10 during Morning Becomes Eclectic. And, speaking of MBE and May 10, that will be the day we reveal the Music Tastes Good – festival lineup. Jason will announce all the bands set to play the festival at 10am AND we’ll have passes to giveaway!

And now your 15 day music planner via our KCRW Presents show calendar:
