Yeasayer and Warpaint headline Natural History Museum’s First Fridays tomorrow night, February 5 from 5:30 to 10:30pm. The monthly lecture and music series is presented by KCRW. Yeasayer’s sophomore release“Odd Blood” is already getting heavy spins at the station, while excellent local band Warpaint will be releasing their debut shortly on Rough Trade. Resident DJ Them Jeans (Jason Stewart) will spin throughout the evening along with headliner DJ Ana Calderon.

Advance tickets are sold out, but there will be some available at the door.

ARRIVE EARLY! Especially if you want to get into the performance space. The capacity is very limited (by the fire marshall). Doors open at 5:30pm

WHERE The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is located at 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90007.

TICKETS Tickets are $9 for adults. Curator-led tours, films, discussions and performances are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and early purchase is recommended. For more information, visit www.nhm.org/firstfridays

PARKING

Due to the construction near the Museum, please note the following alternate route:

Exit Martin Luther King Blvd. off the 110 Freeway. Turn Right on Bill Robertson Lane/Menlo Ave.

Parking is available for $8 in patrolled Exposition Park Lots on Bill Robertson Lane., Across from the Museum.
