Just over a week ago Kinky headlined NYC’s Central Park Summerstage.
It was a notable moment for the band because they were playing as part of the Latin Alternative Music Conference, which 13 years awarded them the “Discovery Award”. It was quite a homecoming, and KCRW DJ Raul Campos talked to them right before they went on stage.
The band is back with a new album (“Sueño De La Maquina”)and better than ever. And since KCRW has supported the Mexican quintet since the very beginning, they have given us the new video for “Despues Del After”, complete with a breakdancing robot.
It was filmed in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
The song is classic Kinky — straddling the line between rock and electronica with a party vibe. A perfect soundtrack to a night on the town.
