Fleetwood Mac Fest – an all-star benefit event with an incredible lineup slated for Feb 9 and 10 – is set to hit Los Angeles this week and KT Tunstall dropped by the studio to give us a taste of what’s in store.

The Scottish singer, who is now living nearby in Venice and hard at work on a new album, says Fleetwood Mac wrote “some of the best songs known to man.”

She chose to cover two tracks from “Rumours”, telling Host Jason Bentley that she’s not an archivist musician who collects every single album by an artist, rather she gets completely obsessed with one album.

“Rumours” sold over 40 million copies and she says it’s the mixture of joy and elation, combined with bittersweet lyrics, that makes it so special.

KT tells us that magic brew is something she’s going for on her forthcoming release, which she calls a “pretty bombastic record.”

She covered “You Make Loving Fun” and album opener “Second Hand News”. Hear them below!

Courtney Love, Mark Ronson, Perry Farrell, Joanna Newsom, Cold War Kids and Alison Mosshart (who KT calls “one of my favorite leading women of a band ever”) are among the other artists slated to perform at Fleetwood Mac Fest, a benefit for Sweet Relief. Find out more here.
