L.A. Candidate Forum on the Environment, Transportation and the Economy

The May 21 runoff election is just about 7 weeks away and candidates for higher office in the city of Los Angeles are holding court in a series of Q&As before voters.

It’s being called the L.A. Candidate Forum on the Environment, Transportation, and the Economy.

The daylong event was organized by the L.A. League of Conservation Voters, Climate Resolve and Green L.A., along with other local organizations.

The event takes place Monday, April 1, at Yosemite Hall at the California Endowment downtown on Alameda Street in Chinatown.

Candidates expected to appear include those running for City Attorney – incumbent Carmen Trutanich and Mike Feuer.

The two people vying for City Controller to replace mayoral candidate Wendy Greuel: Dennis Zine and Ron Galperin.

And several city council candidates who advanced to runoffs will represent at the event as well.

From Districts 1, 6, 9 and 13.

Organizers say the forum will bring together neighborhood residents and associations to ask candidates about their vision for the city.

The event starts at 8:30 and will wrap up by around 4.

Organizers encourage you to RSVP, because they say space is limited.
