Helado Negro, released the first single of what will maybe be a forthcoming album.

In 2014, he rode the tide of acclaim for his superb record, “Double Youth”, and held a spot in our Top 10 Favs of the year.

As with most of his previous material, Roberto Carlos Lange, aka Helado Negro, explores the duality of being Latino in the United States and having to navigate through different stereotypes, challenges, and benefits.

With his latest single he removes any sort of veil into that exploration and lays it all wide open on the table. Entitled, “Young Latin & Proud”, and sung almost entirely in English, the downbeat, moody track uses it’s title as the hook to the 3 minute groove of positivity.

The single is in support of his prominent upcoming performances at Summerstage in Central Park July 8 (as part of LAMC) and at Millennium Park in Chicago on July 16th .
