Fusion festival to be held in the USA.
To Celebrate the Chinese New Year, artists from the east and west will perform over a two day event at The Aladdin Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas. Representing the east will be Jackie Chan flown in from the set of Rush Hour 3 to begin the cross cultural concert, along with Taiwan’s A-mei and Supergirls from China. The western contingent includes Kanye West, Gnarls Barkley, Spank Rock and Girl Talk – the last of which is actually a bloke called Gregg Gillis!
Brooklyn Academy of Music and other venues in the area. Local hip hop hero and actor Mos Def headlines the event with openers The El Michaels Affair and K’Naan; other artists on the bill include neo soul singer songwriter Gordon Chambers and the up and coming chanteuse Alice Smith.
