KCRW has happily presented a fantastic monthly series of music at the Natural History Museum —First Fridays– which sadly comes to a close this Friday! But we’re going out with a bang with performances from Stones Throw Records founder Chris Manak aka Peanut Butter Wolf on the turntables. He’s produced fantastic records by Madlib, Breakestra and Quasimoto and seems to be having a lot of fun as a performer (a couple years ago he did 8 shows in 8 days at 8 different clubs!)

Opening the night is Neon Indian, a personal favorite who falls firmly in the “chillwave” genre of music with synth pop masterpieces that wash over you in the best way. He also has masterful song names – “Deadbeat Summer” and “Terminally Chill” sound exactly the way you would expect them too!

This is a fantastic finale and worth adding to your weekend calendar!
