New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow joined Elvis Mitchell on The Treatment to talk about his new memoir, “Fire Shut Up in My Bones,” He said it wasn’t until he was in his 40s with children of his own, that he had the courage to relive his own childhood trauma, most notably the experience of being molested in his Gibsland, Louisiana childhood home. His memoir fearlessly recollects that earth-shattering moment and explores the impact it had on the rest of Charles’ family life, his relationships, and his career.
