Looped is an audio & visual journey through the eyes of KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez. Explore the streets, beats and meet the people who make it happen. This week we’re coming at you from SXSW, held in Austin, TX.

Giddy up!

—

It’s been a busy, fun and fulfilling week out in Austin, TX. We met some real cool people, saw fantastic music and ate our weight in BBQ & tacos. But before Looped signs off from SXSW – we wanted to wrap it all up.

In this episode, we talk with rising Melbourne, Australia band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. These guys are tight, catchy and great performers but what really stood out was their excitement for their first SXSW. They killed it and their confidence and good attitude was infectious. On the other side of the equation, music vet Alan Sartirana, has been booking shows at SXSW for years. We check in with him on the state of the festival and scenes from his beloved showcase FLOODfest.

Thanks for riding with us, y’all!
