Record Surplus is a musical staple on the Westside of Los Angeles, operating since 1985. The guys from Classixx once brought me here and ever since I’ve been hooked. One of the elements that gives this place so much character is DJ Houseshoes. In addition to working and maintaining the bins (and loading them with gems), Shoes also owns and operates Street Corner Music and has gained a respectable buzz among music heads.
