All girl group Stealing Sheep are from Liverpool (where the Beatles come from!) and combine here with a track to make you all warm inside. With succulent harmonies coupled with a refreshing analogue approach, these girls know how to get your attention. There’s something quite hypnotic about this track.

Stealing Sheep – Shoot The Ducks To Win by Red Deer Club Recordings

“Shoot The Ducks To Win” is taken from their debut EP, “What If The Lights Went Out”, which was released last year, on Red Deer Club. Their second EP, “The Mountain Dogs”, has just been released. And preparations are in place for their debut album. Watch this space (but press play first!).

They’re starting to cause a bit of a stir here in London. Gilles Peterson recently included this track in his much coveted All Winners 2011 Pt 1 – his list of the best tracks of the year so far. They’ve recently completed a successful headlining tour and, with a summer schedule of festival appearances in the UK and beyond, it’s great to see their fan base grow.

Stealing Sheep are also down to the final two in The People Music Awards, an independent music awards voted for by the public. The final is June 18th and there’s still time to vote. (I’m DJing at the after-party!).
