Jason Bentley seemed especially fascinated by Majical Clouds, calling their music “captivating” and commenting on the contrast between the two musicians: singer Devon Walsh and producer Matthew Otto.

Devon is an intense performer with a fixed gaze (or even glare!) and his entire body seems tightly wound, the tension fueling the emotional expression in his voice. On the other side, Matthew was fluid, crafting the sound behind a large set up of keyboards and synths.

It’s heavy yet beautiful stuff and it was a performance that deserves a second listen (or a first one if you missed it). Check it out here.
