Los Angeles County’s jail system has been under scrutiny because of allegations of deputy brutality and other misconduct.

Now a Los Angeles Times investigation has found more problems – including an intelligence supervisor blowing an informant’s cover, and leaving him subject to inmate retribution.

LA Times reporter Robert Faturechi has been covering the story, and spoke with KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis about it.
