I pressed play and was immediately drawn in by the slow synth wash and then TOTALLY transfixed by this subliminally spastic montage which fires on all cylinders for almost 4 minutes straight. I imagine that if it were any longer, one would start screaming like Alex DeLarge at the end of A Clockwork Orange…but, as it stands, it is as truly perfect a distillation of the tumblr zeitgeist.
It helps that the track, “Hurricane” is brilliantly produced cinematic pop and the female vocalist has a great haunting howl reminiscent of Florence Welch. Fitting, considering that MS MR (Miss Mister) are touring with Marina & The Diamonds later this summer.
