This was the perfect fun session to wrap up the work week. Local bandMusic Go Music tip their hats to bands like Abba, with a mix of progressive pop songs recalling the sounds of the 70’s, particularly “Light of Love.” They were clearly having a blast with their euphoric disco sound. AND it was family hour at KCRW today: The band is fronted by married couple Meredith and David Metcalf from LA indie pop-band Bodies of Water. Guitarist Adam Siegel aka TORG happens to be the son of Melinda Siegel, who works on KCRW’s Bookworm program. The Chapin Sisters (REAL sisters) joined in on backup vocals. And, last but not least, Jason Bentley’s little brother Will Bentley was assisting the engineers on the broadcast!

p.s.: They put out the call for cruise connections, hoping to get a gig playing a residency on a cruise ship and offering to learn Neil Diamond covers, among others. They also mentioned that bartender Isaac Washington is their favorite “Love Boat” character. How could it not be?
