The LA Weekly music blog turned me onto a new song from Mayer Hawthorne called “No Strings” a few weeks ago and I’m happy to finally offer it as a stream so you can check it out as well!

It’s the soulful retro style you expect from Mayer but it seems, well, sweeter.

Which is interesting considering it’s about spending one night with a lady with “no strings attached.” Hmmmmm.

The song was produced by LA DJ duo Classixx, who’ve also remixed tunes by Phoenix, Holy Ghost and The Ting Tings.

Mayer’s charm and their production are a seductive combination!
