UCLA Live has some great shows coming up – April 5 Christoph Bull returns for the 10th Anniversary of Organica. Since 1999 this composer and musician has reinterpreted organ music – as the LA Times says ‘think Bach meets The Beatles’. Special guests include violinist Lili Haydn, performance painter Norton Wisdom and Mezzo soprano I Chin Feinblatt.

Lila Downs brings her vivacious mix of traditional Mexican, ranchera, and jazz style of music to the Royce Hall – this sold out last time at this venue so get your tickets pronto!

Leonard Cohen then you’ll probably know he’s been on a world tour for the last year and recently arrived in north America for the first time in 15 years. His Los Angeles dates are April 10 & 11th at the

Nokia Theatre L.A Live in downtown LA and features a stellar band and performers such as Sharon Robinson and The Webb Sisters.

STRP festival is located in Eindhoven in the Netherlands and is a mix of music with artists such as Aphex Twin topping the bill, as well as arts and technology. STRP gets its name from the site on which it is held –it’s where Philips electronic and tech company was based and where the light bulb, the audio cassette, the CD and the VHS were born. The festival takes place April 2–13th and has a great multi disciplinary program –From talks to digital sculptures to film screenings to lots of music - artists and DJs include Laurent Garnier, Cobblestone Jazz and Squarepusher and Birdy Nam Nam.
