There is a lot of uncertainty right now in the world, but as it has done since the beginning of time, music can soothe and make everything just a little bit more bearable.

Today, we premiere this ‘warm blanker banger’ for your self-isolated ears. Paco Versailles is the phenomenal new project from Ryan Merchant of Capital Cities and world-renowned flamenco guitarist, Vahagni. Together, they blend an elegant mix of electronics, live musicianship, and flamenco.

But, how did these two kindred spirits even meet?! Well, pretty simple. Vahagni joined Capital Cities on tour for a couple dates in 2016, and during that time, Ryan and Vahagni discovered their shared appreciation for Spanish culture.

Their collaboration takes its name from their collective musical influences: legendary Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia and French electronic artists like Daft Punk &Air. The result is a musical vibe that the duo calls ‘Dancemenco.

It’s the perfect combination for feeling like you are in a far-off land basking in the sun. It can be enjoyed alone or with that friend you video conferenced into your living room dance party.

    A bailar!
