I was excited just hearing about this combination of musical forces and the song lives up to my expectations for sure. DJ Valida turned me on to this Passion Pit remix of the title track off Cold War Kids new album, “Mine is Yours,” just last night during my final hour of “pitching” during KCRW’s pledge drive, and it gave me that extra burst of energy to get through it. I immediately insisted she send it to me and now I want to share it with you!

Cold War Kids’ new album is more personal and meditative, songs about relationships and the ups and downs of sharing your life with another person. This song is perhaps the most poignant and I love this serious topic matter put to a bangin’ beat! Best of both worlds…
