We are halfway through the Natural History Museum’s 2012 First Fridays series, presented by KCRW, and below is an update on what you have to look forward to as well as some photos of the festivities thus far from Photographer Jeremiah Garcia.

These shows are always a blast and April’s event is actually taking place THIS Friday, March 30 (to avoid Good Friday) and it’s one you won’t want to miss — with Matthew Dear!

Advance tickets are sold out, but they always have some available at the door.

First Fridays 2012 Lineup Update!

** March 30, 2012 – “Is it Good or Bad that the World has so Many Languages” with Dr. Jared Diamond (*This date replaces the first Friday of April, which is Good Friday)

MUSIC: 5:30pm-10:00pm DJ Lounge – KCRW DJs Anthony Valadez and Eric J Lawrence

9:15 pm – Matthew Dear

8 pm– Songodsuns

**May 4, 2012 – “Wicked Bugs–Fearsome and Ferocious Creatures in Your Backyard and Beyond” with Amy Stewart

WHEN : Extended Museum hours until 10:00 PM.

WHERE: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is located at 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90007.

ADMISSION: Concert Ticket +Museum Admission ($18) / Museum Admission ($12) BUY TICKETS

Guided tours and discussions are available on a first come, first served basis to all ticket-holders.

It is recommended that you purchase tickets in advance as capacity for the evening is limited and often sells out early. There will be a limited number of tickets sold on-site the evening of the event; however, once on-site tickets are sold out, admission to the Museum and/or Concert may not be available.
