    Next week, the North American International Auto Show opens in Detroit. This car show is the biggest in the United States and the one that’s most important to the titans of the American automotive industry. It is the Motor City after all.

    In this year’s show more than 50 production and concept cars will be unveiled, including the much-anticipated debut of the seventh-generation Corvette. It’s also expected that U.S. car companies will use the show to do a little bit of crowing about how the American car companies are bank from the brink of disaster and have their pedals-to-the-metal when it comes to innovation and quality, leaving the bad old days of bankruptcy and weak sales in the rear-view mirror.

    I got a preview of the Detroit Auto Show show with Ed Loh, the editor-in-chief of “Motor Trend” magazine headquartered in El Segundo. Few people know as much about cars and the car industry as Loh. Take a listen here:
