Architect Jon Jerde, responsible for some of LA’s most iconic shopping malls and urban spaces, died today at his home in Brentwood. He was 75. He’s best known for his work on Universal City Walk, Horton Plaza in San Diego and the design of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
KCRW’s Frances Anderton hosts the show “Design and Architecture” and edited a book about Jerde called “You Are Here.” She spoke to KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis.
