The NY-via-Colombia duo Salt Cathedral are named for a legendary underground church in their home country, so it should be no surprise there is something spiritual and mysterious about their music. In anticipation of their debut album in 2016, they offer up a new single, “No Ordinary Man,” which should appeal to fans of Sylvan Esso and Sonnymoon. For this new track, Juliana Ronderos and Nicolas Losada create a spare, organ-driven backdrop for their tale of insuppressible love, nicely depicted in cinematic fashion with their video, which we are happy to be premiering here.

Capturing the madness and uncertainty of passion through soulful vocals and a musical arrangement that cannily avoids offering too much, “No Ordinary Man” serves as a seductive calling card for future work from Salt Cathedral.
