All my friends who attended Comic-Con were buzzing about this movie, starring Michael Cera and directed by Edgar Wright. I love Edgar’s unique sense of humor, which made his movies “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” (best death scenes ever!) cult hits, as well as the TV series “Spaced” which was HUGE in the UK, if you haven’t heard of it.

KCRW’sElvis Mitchell interviewed Edgar about “Scott Pilgrim vs.The World” — based on the comic book series by Bryan Lee O’Malley – for his show The Treatment and it is airing today at 2:30pm. It will be posted in the archives here later today.

Edgar talks about his early influences and inspirations— from Ray Harryhausen to Sam Raimi — and he explains how he first came across the work of Bryan Lee O’Malley and its similarities to “Spaced.”
