Solomon Burke; Alejandro Escovedo; Stop-Loss

R+B singer Solomon Burke. has released a new record called Like a Fire. Kurt Andersen talked to Burke back in 2006, when he released Nashville, a collection of tunes he recorded in the country-music capital. Kurt asks Burke about why he wanted to take a break from deeply moving soul music to sing a duet with Dolly Parton. Also, musician Alejandro Escovedo on the gift that got him singing again. Five years ago Escovedo nearly died from complications of Hepatitis C.  And Kurt talks with film director Kimberly Peirce about her Iraq war movie, Stop-Loss, which is just out on DVD.
