Outdoor street festival Sunset Junction will feature 5 stages with a wide variety of local bands, many of them KCRW alums! If you’re thinking of heading out this Saturday and Sunday, sample some music from our archives to decide your must-sees. The full line up is available here:

**Saturday, August 21

BATES STAGE

4pm: Saint Motel played The Hammer Museum’s “Also I Like to Rock” series and thrives outside. Just check out these pics!

5pm: Chris Pierce is a soulful singer with powerful and positive lyrics.

6:30pmDam Funk joined Garth Trinidad for a Guest DJ set recently.

HOOVER STAGE

4pm Orgonebrings high energy grooves. This will be a dance party for sure.

SANBORN STAGE

1:30pm KCRW’s own DJ Jeremy Sole!

8:35pm Everest delivered an incredible live performance on Morning Becomes Eclectic recently.

BATES STAGE

8pm Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zerosmade their worldwide radio debut on KCRW and they bring the best vibes around. Plan to sing along. Do not miss this one.

HOOVER STAGE

4pm Fitz & the Tantrumsare a soul sensation. They make heartbreak sound – and feel – good. One of the best live bands in LA.

6:45 pm Mayer Hawthorne and The Countyput out one of the best albums of last year – soulful crooning and so catchy I’m still singing along. It was a KCRW favorite and their live show does not disappoint.

SANBORN STAGE

6:30pm Meshell Ndegeocellois a true artistwith a rich career, including multiple Grammy nominations.She has a lot of fire and its great to witness in person.
