Superman: The High-flying History of America’s Most Enduring Hero, jetted into San Diego for Comic-Con this week–ground zero for all things pop culture–where the

newest actor to play the Man of Steel will be introduced to adoring fans.

Tye took time out of his schedule to talk to us about the genesis of Superman (he was hardly an overnight success,) his religion (while he appeals to all, Tye claims his roots are Jewish,) and the brewing legal battle that could very well put Superman-as-economic-engine out of business as we know it. (Perhaps a pocket full of Kryptonite is in order?)
