Today was supposed to be moving day for denizens of the 22-story building on Sunset Boulevard, near Gower Street. It’s the site of the former Old Spaghetti Factory. A judge sided with a neighborhood group earlier this year that developer CIM Group improperly demolished the building – and that the city of L.A. improperly permitted the project.

The tenants were going to have to move out of the building until the dispute could be settled. But a three-judge appeals panel has now

halted the eviction notice, allowing the 40 or so tenants to stay while the case is being heard.

Despite the reprieve, some tenants say they are moving out, because it’s just too stressful not knowing what’s going to happen.
