Terror on the Turntables – DJ Bitman at KCRW

The turntables in KCRW’s Master Control studio were treated to a work out that I haven’t seen in quite some time this past Wednesday.

Now, truth be told, these tables are put to work each and every night by our DJs – myself included – but not the way DJ Bitman used them in his super exciting guest DJ set. If I wasn’t there to witness it live during the show, I’d swear he had 8 hands or a couple people helping him.

His mix is non stop. We also bookended it with short and sweet conversations about his roots in Chile and a free show happening this Sunday, September 9 at Macarthur Park’s Levitt Pavillion by Ritmo Machine (his project with percussionist Eric Bobo). He’ll also be spinning at Los Globos tonight.
