    If you had to name some of the places where great music – of all genres – has been made, you’d probably list Los Angeles, New York, London, Nashville…

    Was Muscle Shoals in your list? Probably not, but it should be. The small city in northwest Alabama has seen many big music stars making the pilgrimage to a couple of famous studios there. And Muscle Shoals’ place in music history is the subject of a new documentary that comes out Oct. 11.

    Greg Camalier directed the documentary “Muscle Shoals”. He spoke with KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis about it.
