The Morning Benders’ CD “Big Echo” delivered a set of poppy, sunny indie rock at the beginning of 2010 that stayed in my player for quite a while.

Their music is totally likeable and Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor seemed to capture their best while at the helm as producer (along with singer Chris Chu).

While their debut was a nice effort, this album got it right. It was recorded in just 11 days and you can hear that nothing was labored over. It seems effortless and light and that’s a compliment.

The band will make their Morning Becomes Eclectic debut THIS Thursday and here is a taste of what you’re in for when you tune in.
