It's hard to believe that as recently as the 1970's, women artists were struggling for recognition by mainstream art institutions. Then and Now, an exhibition at Track 16, features a vast number of Southern California female artists. We'll tell tales, remember the bad old days, and ask how much things have changed. KCRW General Manager Ruth Seymour hosts.

Other women artists discussed in this segment include:

    • Joyce Kozloff

    • Judy Chicago

    • Dorothea Lange

    • Eleanor Antin

    • Frida Kahlo

    • Artemisia Gentileschi

    • Suzanne Valadon

    • Sheila Pinkel
