Jackson trial. Michael Jackson has been dead and buried for nearly four years. But the answer to the question of who bears responsibility for the pop star’s overdose on the narcotic propofol could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, or a billion, if you believe the Jackson family. Arguments are scheduled to begin today in L.A. in the family’s wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG.

Champs. Eight students from Granada Hills Charter High School are getting a rousing “welcome back” this morning after winning the school’s third straight national Academic Decathlon championship this weekend in Minneapolis. Six-time champ El Camino Real High School took second. L.A. Daily News
