Nai Palm (lead singer/composer of Hiatus Kaiyote) is not only a gifted soul, but someone who is truly affected by her surroundings and experiences. You can hear it in her music. I’m always amazed in her ability to continuously drop music that hits you right in the heart. She’s also not afraid to push the boundaries of music or fashion.

Nai is readying the release of her debut solo album Needle Paw (out Oct 20) and today we have a preview with the premiere of the second single “Crossfire/So Into You.” The track touches on romantic relationships (a topic she rarely writes about) and the outro is a cover of Tamia’s “So Into You.”

I’ve had the honor of engaging with Nai in conversation and you cant help but feeling a little bit better about the world when those wrap; the same can be said when you listen to her music.
