San Francisco’sTycho(aka Scott Hansen)is both a successful graphic artist and a musician. His music is the sonic equivalent of the muted tones he uses in his artwork – dreamy, slightly psychedelic and sundrenched. And nostalgia factors in too. His favorite era is the 70’s – an, admittedly, “idealized image of the 70’s.”

“The Hours” and “A Walk” are perfect examples of his finely crafted soundscapes. It’s like going on an aural vacation. And fans of the record will probably be happy to see more than just synths in the studio, there are guitars too!

His session was a real treat for the ears and you can see some of his visual art on his blog.
