    From: Mathieu:

I’ve been collecting Brazilian music for over 20 years and listening to it since it was a kid. It’s quite popular in France.

When I started doing the show, I didn’t plan on doing the full three hours – I had a whole other show prepared –but it felt good and time went by so fast.

I think with my love of football and Brazil, my enthusiasm got the best of me.

Also, there is no shortage of good Brazilian music. I started the show with more traditional music like Samba and Bossa Nova, then moved into funky, 80’s styles and ended on a more modern note. I didn’t get a chance to integrate psychedelic or rock music, but they are experts at that as well.

Check out the show and, if you haven’t already, buy your tickets to see Caetano VelosoHollywood Bowl at the as part of KCRW’s World Festival on September 21.
