My first time tuning into KCRW was when I was in my teens, listening to Morning Becomes Eclectic. It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that show, and the work of the rest of KCRW’s DJs, blew my mind. I make it a point to listen to KCRW every day, and that was before I got my fellowship. When the radio is on, my housemate has to yell my name just to get my attention!
I feel fortunate to work at KCRW today because the station took a chance on me. I was a young journalist barely out of undergrad with virtually no experience in public radio or podcasting.

During my time here, I’ve produced podcasts about everything from food to politics, and I’ve reported on COVID, fireworks, and public transit.
