Filmation was a cartoonist known for his different approach in Hollywood. And he made quite a mark.

The Emmy-award winning animator died a few days ago at his home here in Los Angeles, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was 84.

Filmation is best known for its series including ‘Fat Albert’ and its animated ‘Brady Kids’ and ‘Star Trek’ animations for TV.

Tom Sito worked for Filmation in the 1980s alongside Scheimer and he joined KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis with his memories.

Take a trip down memory lane with some of these Filmation classics:

Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids

The Archie Show

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

She-Ra: Princess of Power

BraveStarr
